Thanks so much to everyone who came out and ran in the Players Board elections. It takes an extraodinary amout of courage and dedication to Players to run, and we had an absolutely wonderful group of candidates to choose from. To those of you who did not get the positions, please continue to bring all your wonderful talents and personalities to Players–you are truly the heart and soul of the organization. However, we would like to congratulate the following people who will serve on the 2012-2013 Players Board.

Elections for next year’s Players board will be tomorrow Friday May 11th during AR in Mr. Hunnex’s room. Sign up for Mr Hunnex’s or Mr Grace’s AR.

All active members of Players who have participated in at least one Players show this year may attend tomorrow’s elections and vote.

Board Elections 2012

The annual spring board election will be on Friday, May 11, 2012.

All those interested in running must attend a prospective candidate meeting prior to elections on Friday, May 4. In this meeting the board will discuss the responsibilities delegated to each position and the general board duties. The meeting will start during academic recovery (2:10-2:40) and may continue beyond the conclusion of the school day. If you are thinking about running for board and cannot attend this meeting, please contact a current Senior board member immediately.

If you are considering running for a board position, please read the following section of the Players constitution before attending the meeting on May 4: Bylaws, Article III, Section 2.

Petitions are due to any current Senior board member by 2:40 the following Wednesday, May 9. Late submission of these forms will result in inability to run for a board position. No exceptions. A copy of the petition can be downloaded through the link below.

Board elections will be on Friday, May 11, 2012. All Players members who have participated in at least one show during the 2011-2012 school year are encouraged to come and vote. Each candidate will present a brief speech and ballots will be distributed at the conclusion of the last speech. The elections will begin during academic recovery and will probably continue past 2:40.

Thank you so much to everyone who auditioned! The casting process was an extremely long and difficult one. If you have any questions, please refer them to Mr. Grace. Everyone should keep doing Players–first company call is tomorrow after school so those who were not cast should come and try a new crew! We really need your support in Players and we really need you in these crews.

Our first rehearsal starts tomorrow after school in the auditorium. Please email Molly Weilbacher at mosoweilbacher@gmail.com to tell her that you accept the part.
